0.300 M NaOH 100.0 mL + 0.305 M HNO3 100.0 mL

A 100.0 mL sample of 0.300 M NaOH is mixed with

a 100.0 mL sample of 0.305 M HNO3 in a coffee cup calorimeter.

If both solutions were initially at 35.0and

the maximum temperature of the resulting mixture was 37.0.

Find the heat of the reaction per mole of water formed.

The density of both solutions is 1.00 g/mL and

heat capacity is the same as water: 4.184 J/g•℃

---------------------------------------------------

q = C m Δt

( 참고 https://ywpop.tistory.com/2897 )

= (4.184 J/g•℃) (200.0 g) (37.0 35.0 )

= +1673.6 J

(0.300 mol/L) (100.0/1000 L) = 0.0300 mol NaOH
