▶ 눈금 피펫은 마지막 한 방울까지 불어내야 하나요?

---> Yes or No.

 

▶ 홀 피펫은 마지막 한 방울까지 불어내야 하나요?

---> No.

 

 

 

먼저, 홀 피펫(volumetric pipette)은

마지막 한 방울은 그냥 남겨두는(drain-out) 피펫입니다.

즉, 홀 피펫의 마지막 한 방울은 불어내지 않습니다. (NOT blow-out)

 

> Volumetric pipettes are NOT blow-out pipettes.

 

 

 

눈금 피펫(graduated pipette) 사용법에 대해서는

마지막 한 방울은 그냥 남겨두는(drain-out) 피펫의 눈금을 보면,

0 mL 표시가 있고, ( 반면에 피펫 상단 위에 2개의 줄이 없음. )

( 또는 피펫 하단 마지막 눈금 숫자 밑으로는 눈금이 (거의) 없음. )

 

> Mohr, backward or drain-out pipettes have a 0 mL mark just above the end of the pipette. A volume is pulled into the pipette, sometimes to the maximum volume, then the needed volume is aliquoted out.

 

 

 

마지막 한 방울까지 불어내는(blow-out) 피펫의 눈금을 보면,

0 mL 표시가 없습니다. ( 반면에 피펫 상단 위에 2개의 줄이 있음. )

( 또는 피펫 하단 마지막 눈금 숫자 밑으로도 눈금이 어느 정도 있음. )

 

> Serological, forward or blow-out pipettes have no 0 ml mark as that corresponds to an empty pipette. The volume needed is pulled into the pipette and then dispensed.
