> Melting temperature: 137℃

> Glass transition temperature: –130 to –80℃

 

 

 

 

3. PP, polypropylene

 

 

> Polymerization: Zieglar-Natta polymerization

> Morphology (isotactic): highly crystalline

> Morphology (atactic): highly amorphous

> Melting temperature (isotactic): 174℃

> Glass transition temperature: –17℃

 

 

 

 

4. PS, polystyrene

 

 

> Polymerization (atactic): free radical chain polymerization

> Polymerization (syndiotactic): Ziegler-Natta polymerization

> Morphology (atactic): highly amorphous

> Morphology (syndiotactic): highly crystalline

> Melting temperature (syndiotactic): 270℃

> Glass transition temperature: 100℃

 

 

 

 

5. PVC, poly(vinyl chloride)

 

 

> Polymerization: free radical chain polymerization

> Morphology: highly amorphous, ~ 11% crystallinity

> Glass transition temperature: ~ 84℃
