자외가시부 흡광도 측정법에 따라 흡수 스펙트럼을 측정할 때

파장 281 ~ 285 nm 및 325 ~ 329 nm에서 흡수 극대를 나타내고,

파장 305 ~ 309 nm에서 흡수 극소를 나타내며,

파장 330 ~ 340 nm에서 흡수견을 나타낸다.

어떤 흡수(전이)가 λ_max와 인접해서 발생하였기에,

λ_max 피크에 묻혀 살짝 드러난(솟구친) 피크를 ‘shoulder’라고 한다.

이 shoulder를 ‘흡수견’으로 번역한 것 같다.

 

참고로, 대학 분광학 전공서적 등에서

흡수견이란 용어는 나오지 않는다.
